The tunnel found very close to the zero lines in the Araniyan sub-sector of Jammu district on the international border has shocked the security agencies. The tunnel is expected to be dug towards Pakistan.

The surrounding land will be dug from the JCB on Thursday to clarify the situation.
The case is around 11 am on Wednesday morning. In the initial investigation, this tunnel was found near the piddy post on the zero line. It has surfaced after the land around it has subsided.
When the investigation progressed, it is said that it is an old borewell, whose soil has been sunk from the surroundings. Officials associated with security agencies including IGP Mukesh Singh of Jammu division.
IG NS Jamwal of BSF Jammu Frontier, SSP Jammu Sridhar Patil, reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Security forces cordoned off the area and carried out extensive search operations.
