Seat sharing between BJP, Punjab Lok Congress, and SAD (United) in Punjab: Punjab Assembly Election 2022.

Seat sharing has been done between Bharatiya Janata Party, Punjab Lok Congress, and Shiromani Akali Dal (United) for the assembly elections in Punjab.

BJP will contest 65 seats, Captain Amarinder Singh’s Punjab Lok Congress 37 seats, and Shiromani Akali Dal (United) 15 seats out of the total 117 seats. This was announced by BJP National President JP Nadda.

JP Nadda, while interacting with the media in New Delhi, announced the seat-sharing between the BJP and its allies for the Punjab Assembly.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Shiromani Akali Dal (United) President Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, and Punjab BJP President Ashwani Sharma were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, JP Nadda said that security in Punjab is the most important and the need of the hour. Security is the most important issue for Punjab.

This time Punjab elections are for stability and security. Our aim is to bring Punjab back on track. We want to give new direction and speed to the development of Punjab. We will end mafia raj in Punjab.

Giving many examples, JP Nadda said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special attachment to Punjab. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took several steps for the development and welfare of Punjab.

Referring to the 1980 anti-Sikh riots, Nadda said that Prime Minister Modi wiped the tears of the victims of this riot and formed the SIT. Due to this, many culprits of this riot are behind bars today.

On this occasion, former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that security is the biggest issue in Punjab. There is the smuggling of arms and drugs from Pakistan across the border.

Along with this, there is a danger of infiltration of terrorists. It is very important to pay attention to this.

Captain Amarinder Singh once again reiterated that during his Chief Ministership there was a recommendation from Pakistan to make the newborn Singh Sidhu a minister.

He said, I got a message from Pakistan that there the Prime Minister has made a request that if you want to keep Navjot Singh Sidhu in your cabinet, then I will be grateful to him, he is our old friend.
