Rajnath Singh described PoK as part of India, saying – Mother Sharda resides there. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday described Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as part of India.
He referred to the Sharda Peeth, which houses the remains of a temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Saraswati, also known as Sharda.
He said that Shiv Swaroop (Amarnath) should be on this side of Jammu and Kashmir and Shakti Swaroop (Sharda) should be on the side of POJK, how can this happen.
Advocating for the regaining of the Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK), Singh said it is part of India and will continue to be part of this country.
The Defense Minister further said that India is ready to give a befitting reply, ‘whoever casts an evil eye on us’. He expressed confidence that if there was a war, India would emerge victorious.
“I want to tell you with confidence that if any foreign power casts an evil eye on us and a war takes place, we will be victorious,” Singh said during an event to commemorate ‘Kargil Vijay Divas here.
India defeated Pakistan in all the wars since 1947 and after a bitter defeat, it carried out proxy wars.

He said, “After tasting defeat in the direct wars of 1965 and 1971, Pakistan adopted the path of proxy war.
For more than two decades it tried to ‘bleed India with a thousand wounds’, but every time our brave soldiers have shown that no one can disturb the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of India.
Singh assured the nation that the armed forces are ready to face all the challenges of the future. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir stood with their army during the war with Pakistan and China.
Rajnath Singh described PoK as part of India: ‘Modi government’s sole aim is to protect the interests of the nation’.
He said, ‘Whether Hindu or Muslim, all are standing with our army and we cannot forget this.’
Singh while paying tribute to the freedom fighters and armed forces personnel who laid down their lives in the service of the nation since independence.
He said that it was a sense of national pride at the core of his values, which protected India’s unity and integrity.
He stressed that the sole objective of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is to protect the interests of the nation.

He mentioned the valor of Major Shaitan Singh in the year 1962, India’s historic victory in the 1971 war, and the contribution of Captain Vikram Batra and Captain Manoj Pandey, who showed supreme valor in the Kargil War.
