Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting. PM Modi’s meeting amid rising corona cases in the country, emphasizes the 5T strategy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting today on the deteriorating situation of the Corona epidemic in the country.

The meeting, chaired by PM Modi, was attended by many top officials, including Health Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, and Dr. Vinod Paul, associated with the NITI Aayog.

Giving more details of the meeting, the PMO said that although there is speculation about mutant strain’s contribution to the increase of cases in some states.

Measures to control the corona epidemic are similar and hence the implementation of various protocols for covid management are all the more important in those areas.

PM Modi has emphasized the strategy of 5T. This includes testing, tracing, treatment, proper treatment for Covid, and if applied with seriousness and commitment to vaccination, it will be effective in preventing the spread of the epidemic.

Public participation and the need to continue the mass movement.

The PMO said in the statement that PM Modi has directed that community awareness and its involvement is paramount for sustainable Covid management and that public participation and mass movement is needed for Covid management.

Along with this, all efforts are being made to secure adequate quantities of vaccines to meet the growing domestic requirements, as well as to meet the real needs of other countries in the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.

A special cleanliness drive will be organized from April 6 to April 14, 2021.

The statement issued by the PMO stated that a special drive with cleanliness at public places/workplaces will be organized from 6 April to 14 April 2021 for the use of a 100 percent mask, personal hygiene, and proper treatment for Covid.

Corona cases are coming fast in the country.

Significantly, the cases of corona in the country are once again coming up fast.

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday, the total number of positive cases has increased to 1,24,85,509 after the arrival of 93,249 new cases of coronavirus in India in the last 24 hours.

The figure for total deaths has increased to 1,64,623 after 513 new deaths during this period.
