Pramod Sawant will take oath as the Chief Minister of Goa on March 28. Sawant is going to become the Chief Minister of Goa for the second time in a row.

After the results of the Goa assembly elections, the BJP leadership has expressed confidence in the name of Pramod Sawant.

Central observer Narendra Singh Tomar had said that all the MLAs have unanimously elected Pramod Sawant as their leader.

He said that I will make every effort for the development of the state. He also said that we will work for zero corruption. We will meet the governor soon.

PM Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony.

According to sources, PM Narendra Modi may attend Sawant’s swearing-in ceremony.

Pramod Sawant had told that he has invited PM Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President JP Nadda for the swearing-in ceremony.

According to sources, 11 MLAs can take oath as ministers in Goa.

Stake claim to form the government.

Earlier on Monday, Sawant along with BJP leaders had met Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai. He staked a claim to form the government.

BJP largest party in Goa.

The BJP has emerged as the single largest party in the results of the recently held assembly elections. Out of 40 assembly seats, BJP has won a maximum of 20 seats.

The BJP is just one seat away from the majority figure. However, BJP is going to form the government in the state with the support of MGP and independent MLAs.

Congress has won only 11 seats in the assembly elections.

SP president Akhilesh Yadav and Azam Khan resign from the membership of Lok Sabha, will remain MLAs.

SP President and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has resigned from the post of MP. Akhilesh was the MP from the Azamgarh Lok Sabha’s seat.

Akhilesh reached Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Tuesday afternoon and submitted his resignation to him. Akhilesh had won from Karhal’s seat in the assembly elections held in UP.
