Phool Singh Baraiya’s Statement Against Upper Castes
Phool Singh Baraiya’s statement against upper castes became a bone of Congress. Congress is in a dilemma over the controversial statement of its candidate Phool Singh Baraiya from Bhandar assembly seat in the Datia district of Madhya Pradesh.
Instead of condemning such objectionable statements, the party is clarifying that this statement is from when Baraiya was in the BSP. He has no such views after joining Congress. Here, BJP is moving ahead by calling it anti-Hindu instead of a scheduled caste (SC) class.
The RSS has also increased its activity by calling it a conspiracy against the Hindus. Hinduist organizations are telling people that policing the Congress means that only then it is silent.
Now, these questions are starting to arise whether Congress also believes that the upper castes are foreigners. On the other hand, law experts are also describing such statements as criminal acts.
Questions raised about the statements of Congress candidate Phool Singh Baraiya
Actually, the Sangh and Hinduist organizations are active against the conspiracy to make the tribals non-Hindu. Meanwhile, the video of Baraiya went viral, in which he is saying that Savarna has come from outside.
In another video, Baraiya is seen saying objectionable things about upper-caste women. On both statements, Congress supported Baraiya in away. The party neither sought nor denied the reply from Baraiya, but called the video fake.
Now questions are arising whether Congress has given silent support to Baraiya. If the state Congress president Kamal Nath does not want to talk on this, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh said that there is no question that the upper castes are foreigners. Baraiya himself has said that the video is false.
Spoiled words of Baraiya
First video
If we become weak then we will change the constitution to a Hindu nation. If we become strong then we are definitely saying that these Muslims will chase, we will chase them. Because Muslims are our brothers. Take the DNA test, Muslims will come out as ours, the children of one parent. The British have come later, they (Savarnas) have come earlier.
Second video
The people of the scheduled caste disguise themselves as Brahmins, apply tilak and go to the homes of the Savarnas to bring Laddu on the pretext of offerings. By eating these, the upper caste women will become untouchable and then the upper caste people will leave them in the house of the Scheduled Castes. In this way, the people of Aja will have two wives each.
We have nothing to do: Congress
Kamal Nath’s media coordinator Narendra Saluja has edited the video and called it false. Saluja said that the video is from the time when Baraiya was a BSP leader. Congress has nothing to do with the video. Congress does not believe in such an ideology.
As a Congress candidate, Baraiya has not made such a statement. Congress candidate Phool Singh Baraiya said that the BJP is making all such desperate efforts to divert our attention. The video that has gone viral is false.
BJP spokesperson Rajneesh Agarwal said that this statement is against the identity of the Scheduled Castes.
Former Advocate General of Madhya Pradesh Ravinandan Singh said that it is a crime. Giving provocative speech or making derogatory remarks against any particular caste is a criminal act. The police should register an FIR.
Bhopal lawyer KP Srivastava said that police can file FIRs anywhere under Section 154 of the CrPC. Under Section 153 (a) (b) of the IPC, it is a criminal act to spread disharmony on the basis of religion, caste, linguistic or to disturb public peace. It also constitutes an offense of defamation under Section 499, 500.
