The links of espionage activities related to national security have now reached Purvanchal. In this connection, a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) reached the house of Bangkok-based businessman Pannalal Yadav in Khajni and Taramandal area in the early hours of Saturday.
NIA Raids Gorakhpur: NIA suspects that they also have an indirect link to a network of anti-national funding.
The team conducted a thorough search of the house and has called Pannalal’s son, Aman Yadav, for questioning at the headquarters in Delhi on June 4. NIA recently arrested a CRPF assistant sub-inspector who was spying for Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, who was sending confidential information to Pakistani intelligence officers since 2023. Investigation revealed that he used to get money in return through many means.
On the basis of clues found in the interrogation, the NIA team reached Gorakhpur late Friday night under the leadership of Lucknow’s Additional SP RK Pandey. At 4 am on Saturday, the team reached Pannalal Yadav’s village in Rawatdandi with Khajni police.

After gathering information from there, the team reached the residence of Pannalal Yadav in Azad Nagar East, Taramandal, along with the former village head and Pannalal’s elder brother, Munni Lal, where the businessman’s daughters Shivani and Shivali were present. Son Aman Yadav had gone to the gym, he was called and questioned.
The team conducted a thorough search of the house. During this, documents related to mobile phones, laptops, bank accounts, property, and vehicles were searched. After seizing the necessary digital material, Aman was given a notice to appear at the NIA headquarters in Delhi on June 4. The team left at 12:30 pm.
The businessman is abroad, and questions related to the investigation
Pannelal Yadav has been doing business of household goods and readymade clothes in Bangkok since 1992. He is currently living there. The investigating agency suspects that their network has been used or inadvertently became a medium for foreign funding of anti-national networks. At present, no one has been accused in this case, but the investigation is in full swing, and the next step is believed to be the interrogation of Aman Yadav.
