Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ was released in theaters on August 11. Director Advait Chandan’s film is a remake of 1994 Hollywood’s ‘Forrest Gump’.

It was predicted before the release that ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ will prove to be a blockbuster at the box office and will open with a bang.

But ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ ruined the hopes on the very first day itself. Not only the audience but the OTT platform Netflix has also given a big blow to Aamir Khan.

Netflix has denied the ongoing deal with Aamir for ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. Let’s know what is the real reason behind this matter.

It has been ten days since the release of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and the film has not even earned 55 crores so far. Aamir Khan’s hopes were completely dashed.

According to reports in Bollywood Hungama, before the release of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan was asking for a huge amount to sell the digital rights.

A source told the website, ‘Aamir Khan was quite excited about the streaming of Laal Singh Chaddha on Netflix.

He wanted his film to be seen on a global level, for which he demanded more than 150 crores from Netflix.

Talks were also going on with Netflix about it, Aamir Khan was referring to his previous films and records. But that was not enough.

Aamir was adamant that Laal Singh Chaddha would be released on OTT  after 6 months after its theatrical release.

Netflix tried its best to convince Aamir to bridge the gap between theatrical and OTT releases.

Along with this, Netflix was also ready to give about 80 to 90 crores to Aamir Khan, but the superstar stuck to his point.

Actually, Aamir Khan wants to release Lal Singh Chaddha in China as well. Netflix finally gave him a deal of 50 crores.

Aamir kept trying to sell the film for the maximum amount. They were still asking for 125 from Netflix.

Aamir Khan expected Laal Singh Chaddha to do more than 300 crore business at the Indian box office. In this hope, Aamir did not do any deal on digital rights before the release of the film.

If they felt that the film will do well, then OTT people will accept their conditions comfortably, but it did not happen. Now Netflix has given up on buying Aamir Khan’s film.
