Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi passed away, President Kovind and PM Modi expressed grief. Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi has died due to the corona epidemic. He is the first Union Minister to lose his life due to Corona infection. 65-year-old Angadi MP from Belgaum in Karnataka breathed his last at AIIMS in Delhi on Wednesday evening.
He was admitted to the Trauma Center in AIIMS after being infected with the Coronavirus. President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed deep grief over Angadi’s demise. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the national flag will be half-tilted in the government offices of Delhi on Thursday due to the death of Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi.
Let it be known that Suresh Angadi was 65 years old. Angdi reported being corona positive on 11 September. He had tweeted and said, “Today, the investigation has confirmed to be infected with Corona. My situation is fine. Taking doctors advice I request all the people who have come in contact with me in the last few days to pay attention to their health and get the symptoms checked.
Suresh Angadi is the second MP from Karnataka to die due to coronavirus. Earlier, Ashok Gasthi died due to corona in the previous days. He was a Rajya Sabha MP. He became a Lok Sabha MP from Belgaum in Karnataka 4 times. He reached parliament by winning the Lok Sabha elections from Belgaum in 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2019.
PM Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the death of Suresh Angadi from Corona. He tweeted, ‘Suresh Angadi was an extraordinary activist who worked hard to strengthen the party in Karnataka. He was a devoted parliamentarian and influential minister, acclaimed across the spectrum. His death is painful. My consolation is with his family and friends in this hour of grief. om Shanti.
President Ramnath Kovind tweeted that he was shocked by the news of untimely demise of Union Minister and Senior MP Suresh Angadi. This is a tragic loss of the public service sector, especially to the people of Karnataka. My heartfelt condolences to his heartbroken family, colleagues and myriad colleagues.

He said in the tweet that the Union Minister of State for Railways and four-time MP from Belagavi seat was shocked and deeply saddened by the demise of Suresh Angri. He was like a younger brother to me. He is deeply shocked to lose them. It is an irreparable loss to the nation.
