Meeting Between Farmers And Govt Ends With No Result

Meeting between farmers and government ends, Agriculture Minister said- nothing better we can do. The 11th round of talks between the central government and representatives of farmer unions ended on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State for Industry and Commerce Som Prakash (Som Parkash), and representatives of 41 farmers associations.

After the meeting ended, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar clearly told the farmers that the proposal we have made is for your benefit. We can do nothing better than this. If you get an idea, then think once. At the same time, the date for the next meeting has not been set.

Explain that against the three new agricultural laws, farmers have been protesting against the borders of Delhi for the last 58 days. Today the birthday of some members of the farmers organization was celebrated outside Vigyan Bhavan before the talks started.

On the other hand, after the meeting of the Congress Working Committee held today, KC Venugopal said, ‘The Congress Working Committee decided to stand firmly with the farmers.

We have passed the proposal regarding this. The working committee has prepared an action plan from top to bottom to support the farmers’ movement.

A proposal was made by the Center on Wednesday to postpone the agricultural laws for a year and a half and to remove the apprehensions of the farmers by forming a committee, but the farmers refused to approve it.

On the tractor rally to be held on January 26, All India Kisan Sabha general secretary Hannan Mollah said, “Farmers have started coming on Outer Ring Road and they will come.” We cannot change this program.

There will be a rally. ‘ He said, ‘If the attitude of the government is a little more positive then it can be better.

There was a slight difference from the old proposal in the proposal made by the government, that is why we took that proposal in the General Assembly. After discussion, they refused to accept him.

The General Secretary of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, SS Pandher, said, ‘In today’s meeting, we will reply to the government with our plea on rejecting the proposal. Today’s discussion will focus on our demands.

We will appeal the cancellation of all three laws with a discussion on MSP. He said, ‘The policy of the government was to trap us by hiding the poison in sweet. She somehow wants to stop the performance. In our meeting, it was decided unanimously that we will not accept their proposals.

Till now, 10 rounds of talks have yielded no results. In the 10th round of talks, the central government proposed to keep these laws suspended for a year and a half, which was rejected by the farmers’ organizations on Thursday.

In a meeting of 32 farmer organizations, 17 voted against it and 15 voted for it. Now all eyes are on today’s talks.

On the other hand, on January 26, Republic Day, farmer organizations have decided to hold a tractor rally. For this, the second phase of negotiations between the police and the farmer on Thursday was inconclusive.

In support of their demands, the leaders of the farmers’ organization have sought permission from the police to take out a tractor rally on the Ring Road, which was refused by the police authorities in view of the Republic Day security and the epidemic caused by Coronavirus infection.
