Lockdown Extended In Kerala & Karnataka Amid Rising Cases

Lockdown extended in Kerala and Karnataka amid rising cases, Chief Ministers gave information. The lockdown has been extended till 7 June in Karnataka.

Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said that we had a meeting with senior officials and ministers after which we have decided on the lockdown. Until 24 May we had strict restrictions.

Lockdown in Kerala has been extended till 30 May. The triple lockdown in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Thrissur will be withdrawn from tomorrow as there has been a decrease in active cases of corona here.

The triple lockdown will continue in Malappuram. In the rest of the state, the lockdown will continue till May 30. This information was given by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

At the same time, the lockdown has been extended till 7 June in Karnataka. Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said that we had a meeting with senior officials and ministers, after which we have decided on the lockdown.

Until 24 May we had strict restrictions. According to the opinion of experts, we are now extending strict restrictions till 7 am on June 7.

Let us know that Karnataka remains a hotspot of Corona these days. One-third of the total corona cases and deaths due to it have been reported during the second wave in the state in the last two and a half months.

In the second wave, children, Kishars, and youths became very infected and many died.

Nearly thirty thousand new cases of corona in Kerala within the last 24 hours

Announcing the extension of the lockdown, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also gave information about the cases that have come up in the last 24 hours of Corona.

The Chief Minister said that 29,673 cases of the corona were reported in Kerala in the last 24 hours. 41,032 people have been cured of the disease, while 142 people lost their lives during this period.
