DSP Davinder Singh Sacked By The J&K Government

DSP Davinder Singh sacked by the government also terminates the services of two teachers: Jammu Kashmir.

All of these were involved in anti-national activities, were freed by Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday. All of them have been exempted from service, posing a threat to national unity, integrity, and security.

During the last month, about 6 government officials and personnel have been exempted from terrorist and anti-national activities. These include an Assistant Professor and a Naib Tehsildar.

DSP in Jammu and Kashmir Police, Devendra Singh was arrested about 16 months ago on 11 January 2020 by a team of Jammu and Kashmir Police on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway near Al-stop Qazigund in South Kashmir.

At that time, Hizbul Mujahideen’s seven lakh prize terrorist Naveed Mushtaq alias Naveed Babu and Lashkar terrorist Rafi Rather and OGW worker advocate Irfan Shafi Mir were in the car along with Devindra Singh.

DSP Davinder Singh was trying to reach Jammu by using his influence to protect them from the security agencies. A stock of arms was also found at the time of the arrest.

The police suspended Devindra Singh with immediate effect and the investigation was also handed over to the NIA.

Based on the revelations by terrorists Naveed and Devindra Singh, about a dozen people, including the leader of PDP’s youth unit, Waheed Ur Rehman Para, have been caught in the case.

The NIA filed a charge sheet against Devindra Singh in court last year.

Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and several officials of the Delhi-based Pakistan High Commission were also in constant contact with Devindra Singh on the internet media.

Apart from Devindra Singh, two teachers from North Kashmir, Maheed Yusuf Ganai resident Trich Kupwara and Bashir Ahmed Sheikh resident Dildar Batpora, Karnah Kupwara, have been terminated.

While issuing the order for the discharge of Devindra Singh and two teachers, quoting Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, the NIA has also filed an application in the court against the suspended DSP Devindra Singh, who was accused of working for Hizbul Mujahideen.

The services of suspended DSP Devindra Singh son Didar Singh, resident of Owerigund Tral Pulwama are terminated after taking into consideration the available information and all the facts related to the case against him.

The Lieutenant Governor has terminated the services of two teachers of Devindra Singh and Kupwara under sub-clause C of the provision of clause two of article 311 of the National Constitution.

Accordingly, there is no need to investigate against government officials and personnel posing a threat to national unity, integrity, and security, they can be discharged on the basis of evidence with immediate effect.

It is noteworthy that the Jammu and Kashmir government led the Additional Director General of Police, CID, Jammu, and Kashmir.

On April 21, to identify the supporters and insurgents of the terrorists and separatists sitting in the government machinery and investigate their cases and end their services JKP has constituted a special workforce.

The state government has started investigations against about 500 officers and personnel in various government departments who are directly or indirectly involved with anti-national elements.
