The country is in the grip of the second major wave of Corona. In view of the havoc of Corona, many states including Delhi have imposed strict restrictions like Lockdown, Night Curfew, Weekend Lockdown.
The second wave of Corona in the country destroyed all the records so far. According to the latest data, 1,15,239 new cases of corona have been registered in a single day.
This is the highest number of new infections found daily since the onset of the epidemic. This is the second time since Sunday when more than one lakh new cases have been found in a single day.
Things are very bad in Maharashtra, weekend lockdown and night curfew have been imposed. Apart from this, a night curfew has also been imposed in Delhi.
The situation is not better in other states as well, many other states have also imposed restrictions like weekend lockdown and night curfew.
In such a situation, the big question is whether the country is moving towards lockdown once again?
Night Curfew in Delhi.
The state government has announced a night curfew on Tuesday amid rising cases of corona in Delhi.
Night curfew will remain in force from 10 am to 5 am, although people connected with essential services will be exempted from the night curfew during this time.
The Delhi government has at present denied a plan to impose a lockdown. Guidelines for weddings, shraddh, and other celebrations have already been released in the capital.
Lockdown and Night Curfew in Maharashtra.
The situation is very bad in Maharashtra from Corona. Nearly 50,000 new corona cases are being reported in Maharashtra every day. More than 50 percent of the country’s total new cases are coming from Maharashtra alone.
The Uddhav government has also announced weekend lockdown and night curfew in the state.
Though the Uddhav government is not in favor of complete lockdown, if the situation gets worse with Corona, then perhaps the state government will have no other option.
Night Curfew in Punjab till 30 April.
Night curfew has been imposed in entire Punjab from 9 am to 5 am amidst increasing cases of corona. Earlier, a night curfew was imposed in 12 districts till 10 April.
Now its duration has been extended till April 30 by applying it to the entire state. In view of the increasing pace of infection, the government has taken this decision.
Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, while reviewing the current situation of Corona in the state, has directed to take strict measures. Political rallies etc. have also been banned in the state.
A case will be registered under the epidemic act against those who violate the rules. The Chief Minister has ordered DGP Dinkar Gupta to strictly enforce the night curfew in the state.
