According to the counter affidavit, the petition also states that Malayalam has not been adopted as the official language of Lakshadweep under Article 345 of the Constitution.

The major language spoken by the people of Lakshadweep except Minikay Island is Jesseri, which has no script, and English is taught in all schools here.

The administration said that this petition should be dismissed.

Earthquake tremors in the Andaman Islands, measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale

Earthquake tremors were felt in the Andaman Islands region on Tuesday. The tremors of the earthquake were felt at 1:44 am, which measured 4.2 on the Richter scale.

However, as of now, there is no news of any damage to it.

That’s why earthquakes happen?

Earthquakes occur as a result of the energy generated by sudden movements in the Earth’s outer layer.

This energy generates seismic waves on the Earth’s surface, which are manifested by shaking or displacing the ground.

These are the causes of earthquake

Earthquakes can be caused by natural phenomena or anthropogenic causes. Earthquakes are often caused by geological faults.

Massive gas migration, mainly methane deep within the Earth, volcanoes, landslides, and nuclear tests, is the main fault.
