He made derogatory remarks against Jesus Christ. The police have registered a case against him under sections 153A, 295-A, and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Case registered on the complaint of BJP leader

The case was registered on the directions of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Ernakulam on a complaint by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former National Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Anoop Antony.

According to the FIR lodged, the said speech against Christian religious sentiments in relation to Christmas and against Jesus Christ was uploaded on YouTube by the accused on December 24, 2021.

It was also alleged that he had made a derogatory statement against the birth of Jesus Christ.

In January, the cybercrime police of Kottayam district registered a case in the same crime on the complaint of a person named Abel Francis.
