Vice President Election: The nomination process for the Vice President election starts today, voting will be held on 6 August.

The Election Commission made a big announcement on Tuesday, in which the commission said that voting for the Vice Presidential election will be held on 6 August.

The process of filing a nomination for the Vice Presidential election has started from today i.e. 05th July. Candidates for the post of Vice President can file their nomination for this till July 19.

Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held till July 20 and its final list will be published on July 22. The term of Vice President Venkaiah Naidu ends on August 10.

The electoral college for the Vice Presidential election will consist of 233 Rajya Sabha members, 12 nominated Rajya Sabha members, and 543 Lok Sabha members.

The nomination process for the post of VP will be held on August 6 from 10 am to 5 pm and the result of the election is expected on the same day.

You know that the country will get a new President in July, while the new Vice President in August, the process has started regarding these two elections.

In the election of the VP, the electoral college consists of a total of 788 members from both houses of the Parliament.

At the same time, the names of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi are also in the race for NDA’s candidate for the post of Vice President.
