Kangana Ranaut To Make A Movie On ‘Warrior Queen’ Didda
Kangana Ranaut to become ‘Warrior Queen’ of Kashmir after Rani Laxmibai, Manikarnika Returns announced on Makar Sankranti.
Kangana Ranaut has announced the next film of her Manikarnika franchise on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti. After Jhansi’s Rani Laxmibai, Kangana is bringing the story of the film ‘Manikarnika Returns – The Legend of Didda’ on a queen of Kashmir.
Kangana announced the film via Twitter. For this film, Kangana has joined hands with producer Kamal Jain, with whom she made Manikarnika – Queen of Jhansi.
Kangna tweeted – Our Bharatvarsha has been witness to the story of Veeranganas like Rani of Jhansi. Another such untold heroic story was that of a queen of Kashmir, who defeated Mahmud Ghaznavi not once but twice.
Kamal Jain and me are bringing Manikarnika Returns – The Legend of Didda. Didda is called the Warrior Queen, who ruled undivided Kashmir for nearly 40 years despite the odds.
The Queen’s kingdom also included the Lohara kingdom. Kangana will start shooting for the film in January next year. By then she will complete her current project. Kangana is currently shooting for Raznish Ghai’s film Dhakad and Sarvesh Mewari’s Tejas.
She has completed the shooting of the AL Vijay directed film Thalaivi, a biopic by Tamil Nadu politician and actress Jayalalithaa. Kangana played the lead role of Jhansi Ki Rani in Manikarnika in 2019 and also shared credit with Krish as a director.
Regarding the success of this film, Kangana has been saying that the Bollywood mafia has been trying to degrade her film. Kangoli’s sister and manager Rangoli Chandel claimed that the film collected 102 crores in India and 53 crores overseas, while its budget was only 75 crores.
