Jodhpur Accident: Trailer collided with tractor trolley full of devotees going for Ramdevra Darshan, five killed, 25 injured.
Five people died and about 25 people are reported to be injured in a horrific road accident in the Pali district of the Jodhpur division.
All these people were going to visit Ramdevra on a tractor trolley. The accident happened due to a collision with a trailer coming from the front.
The incident took place between Shivganj Sirohi Marg of Sumerpur police station area.
According to the information, due to the one-way traffic, the tractor trolley collided with the trailer coming on the wrong side, killing seven people in it.
All the victims of the accident are said to be residents of Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the accident.
According to preliminary information, devotees of Banaskantha in Gujarat were going for Ramdevra Darshan, where all these people jumped away due to a collision with a trailer coming from the front in Sumerpur police station area of Pali district.
The accident was so severe that five people died in it.
The injured were rushed to the hospital with the help of local people and other commuters going on the highway, where the treatment of the injured is still going on.
After the information of the accident, Sirohi Collector Dr. Bhanwar Lal and SP Mamta Gupta also reached the spot.
Pali Collector Namit Mehta and SP Dr. Gagandeep Singhla have also reached Sumerpur. All the devotees are from the Banaskanta district of Gujarat. Most of these are said to be from Kukdi village.
It is being told that there was an accident on this route in the morning, due to which the traffic happened in the forest.
Due to which the accident happened due to the trailers coming from the front during the nighttime.
Devotees come to the Ramdevra fair.
Ramdevra, located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, holds a big fair in Bhadwa Paksha, in which devotees from different parts of the country reach for darshan.
All of them reach here in groups on foot, bike, and other means, so these days the pressure of traffic is also there.
More recently, five people were killed in a similar road accident on the Pali-Jodhpur road, all of whom were going to visit Ramdevra.
