Defense Minister Rajnath held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from five countries Zimbabwe, Yemen, Ethiopia, Gambia, and Gabon during Aero India on Wednesday. In these meetings, there was a discussion on strengthening bilateral defense relations with these countries, and consensus was reached on cooperation in many areas related to defense.

New concepts needed for victory – CDS

Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Wednesday addressed a seminar on the subject of linking technologies with future conflicts at the Aero India event.

He said, ‘Linking technologies with future warfare is only a part of the solution to achieve victory. If you want to win, you have to develop new concepts.’ Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi said during a program at Aero India that the domestic industry needs to work for indigenous solutions in the maritime air sector.

85 percent of the army’s procurement is now Indigenous

He called upon the domestic industry to work with the Navy to develop indigenous solutions. While Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said that 85 percent of the army’s procurement is now indigenous.
