Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting on the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir for the second time in a week. The meeting held on February 4 and 5 was attended by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi as well as senior officials of the Army and Jammu and Kashmir.
At the meeting held on Tuesday, senior officials of the Home Ministry were present along with the heads of CRPF, BSF, and Intelligence Bureau. In the meeting, Amit Shah asked the BSF to strengthen the border grid and use advanced technology to ensure zero infiltration to stop infiltration from the international border connected to Jammu.

While reviewing the functioning of the Intelligence Bureau in Jammu and Kashmir, Amit Shah directed to collection of quality intelligence and increased coverage and penetration for this.

He said that the use of modern equipment is also necessary for collecting intelligence. Shah made it clear that stopping terrorist funding, ending the narco-terror nexus, as well as destroying the entire ecosystem of terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir is the priority of the Modi government.
