According to local sources, the posters were discovered pasted on the walls of nearly 100 houses and two traditional Akharas — Matvalba Akhara and Mangali Akhara. Each poster prominently featured the slogan “I Love Muhammad” along with the name “Judhua Boys.”

The posters also carried provocative text, warning “terrorists of India” and “infidels” to stay within their limits, while claiming that “the lion has returned with a bang.” These statements fueled outrage among locals, who considered the posters an attempt to disrupt communal harmony, especially during the festive season.

Tensions escalated when a youth, reportedly from a minority community, was allegedly caught in the act of pasting posters. Members of a Hindu organization, along with residents, apprehended him. The situation quickly turned volatile as a crowd gathered, and the youth was beaten before police rushed to the scene.

Authorities, led by Sadar SDPO Subodh Kumar and Nagar Police Station Chief Sikandar Kumar, intervened promptly to take the youth into custody. Additional reinforcements from Ganga Bridge Police Station and other adjoining areas were deployed to control the situation.

Police officials confirmed that the arrested youth is being interrogated, and further legal action is underway.

Heavy Police Deployment in Jadhua

Following the uproar, a large police force has been stationed in the neighborhood to prevent any untoward incidents. Senior officers are camping in the area to maintain peace.

Residents expressed strong resentment over the provocative posters and demanded strict action against those responsible. “These kinds of acts are deliberately aimed at creating tensions between communities. Police must act swiftly,” one resident told reporters.

Crowds continued to gather outside homes where the posters were pasted, forcing police to maintain round-the-clock surveillance.

Posters Aimed at Creating Discord

The controversial posters were not limited to just homes but also appeared in community spaces, including two Akharas that serve as traditional gathering points. Residents believe that this was a deliberate attempt to provoke communal sentiments.

Members of the Hindu organization, including Prakash Pandey, Sonu Kumar, and Dr. Rakesh, who initially caught the accused, alleged that such acts are part of a larger conspiracy to spread unrest.

Police have since recovered multiple posters and are investigating their source.

CCTV Footage Under Review

Authorities have launched a thorough probe into the incident. CCTV cameras installed across Jadhua are being reviewed to identify others who may have assisted in pasting the posters.

“CCTV footage is being examined, and the accused will be interrogated to uncover whether more people are involved,” a senior officer confirmed.

Residents of houses where the posters were pasted are also being questioned to gather leads.

Community Urges Calm Amid Investigations

While the police investigation continues, leaders from both communities have urged restraint to prevent escalation. The administration has appealed to citizens not to fall prey to rumors or provocative acts.

For now, the “I Love Muhammad” poster controversy has placed Jadhua at the center of a communal flashpoint in Bihar. With one person in custody and investigations underway, authorities are under pressure to ensure that law and order prevail.
