The illegal occupation of the land of a 100-year-old Shiva temple in Pakistan, representative of the Hindu community, made a big demand from the PAK government. In Pakistan’s Sindh province, near Tando Jam, the land belonging to a century-old Shiva temple has reportedly been illegally occupied. A representative of the Hindu community has appealed to the government of Pakistan to stop illegal construction.

Posting a video on social media, Shiva Kachhi, head of Darawar Ittehad Pakistan, said, “The temple is more than a century old. Some people have illegally occupied the land around the temple and started illegal construction, and also blocked the way leading to the temple.” Let us tell you, Darawar Ittehad is an organization that represents the Hindu community in Pakistan. In his video, Kachhi said that a committee manages the Shiva temple and about four acres of land around the temple in Musa Khatiyan village near Tando Jam town, about 185 km from Karachi.
The temple was renovated last year
According to sources, “Encroachers have taken over the temple land through illegal occupation.”. Keeping in view the historical importance of the temple, a team of Sindh Heritage Department renovated it last year.”
He said that there is also a cremation ground for Hindus near the temple, where an annual religious ceremony is held. Kachhi said that every Monday, people of the Hindu community also sing bhajans in the temple.

Demand of the Hindu community
Kachhi, who works for welfare and legal aid for the minority Hindu community in Sindh, has appealed to the Pakistan government to stop the illegal construction work going on around the temple. He said that the government must ensure the safety of historical Hindu temples.
