Healthy & Tasty Winter Desserts: Carrot Halwa
Peel and wash the carrot and grate it. Then fry it in desi ghee. When the carrot is well roasted and cooked, add milk to it and cook and keep cooking till the milk thickens. If you want to shorten this process, then you can cook by adding khoya instead of milk. Add the sugar and cardamom powder when the carrot and khoya or milk are well boiled. Finally, add finely chopped almonds and cashews and mix and serve by sprinkling pistachios on top.
Sesame Laddu
White or black sesame laddus are often made in winter, which are very nutritious and tasty. Roast the sesame seeds dry without adding ghee or oil. Do not roast them till the color changes, otherwise they become bitter. Melt jaggery in a separate pan and prepare a thick syrup of it. Mix well after adding the roasted sesame seeds. Apply water on your hands break small pieces from the mixture and give them the shape of laddus. Sesame laddus are ready.
Healthy & Tasty Winter Desserts: Jaggery Chikki
Melt the jaggery in the pan. Meanwhile, roast dry peanuts in another pan without adding oil or ghee. After roasting, cool it and remove its peel by crushing it with your hands. Break it into two pieces. Meanwhile, the jaggery syrup in the other pan would be ready. To check it, put a drop of jaggery syrup in water and check. If it starts floating like a ball, then understand that the syrup is ready.
Now add broken peanuts and roasted white sesame seeds to it. Mix well and spread ghee on a plate and spread this mixture on it. In two to three minutes, when it starts to cool down a bit, then cut it into barfi or square shapes with a knife. Now leave it to cool. Within 30 minutes, the jaggery chikki will be ready.
