A heartbreaking incident of a widow mother along with young children commits suicide by poisoning. The incident has taken place at Bora Puram village of Maddur Taluk in the district.

Netravathi (30), her daughter Shobhita (9), and son Nandish (7) were killed. The natives immediately rushed them to Mysore but they died without treatment.

The deceased Netravati was married many years ago to Soma, a Bohra village. She later lost her husband and fell ill with her two children. Anand of the same village was promising for the past year that he would marry Netra.

But recently, he had arranged to marry another woman. There was a panchayat in the village. Even though the village panchayat had ruled that the widow was not getting justice

In all this, she tried to commit suicide by poisoning the children at home on Monday evening. The locals screamed at the house and immediately rushed to the hospital.

Netravathi’s aunt Gauramma has lodged a complaint with the KM Doddi police station. DYSP Prithvi, CPI Shivamalla Yaya and SI Seshadri visited the site and inspected the case.

Accident: excessively fast; Four killed in collision with two bikes.

Both legs and hands of the two men sitting on the bike were severed. Excessive speed and treble riding have been blamed for the fatal crash.

A collision between two bikes has left four people dead and two seriously injured. There were three people riding on both bikes. There was a collision between the bikes. Muev died on the spot.

Another was hospitalized in Wadi hospital but died without treatment. The dead bodies have been identified as Mareppa (50) from Ladlapur village, Bassappa (32), and Devendra (50) from Allur village, and Mallappa Rayappa (35).

Hanamantha and Kashinatha were seriously injured in the incident and have been admitted to Wadi Hospital.

Both bikes collided head-on on the national highway. The front wheel of a bike has been torn apart in the dark. Both bikes are jammed and the bike is unmarked.
