Gujarat Local Body Polls: BJP’s victory in Gujarat Municipal Corporation elections, Congress’s defeat.

The BJP has retained power in all the six metropolitan municipalities, performing brilliantly in the local body elections in Gujarat. Out of 474 seats announced till Tuesday evening, BJP has won 409 seats.

The Congress has won 43 seats and the Aam Aadmi Party has 18 seats. Voting was held on 21 February on 576 seats in the six metropolitan municipalities.

While the Aam Aadmi Party performed brilliantly in Surat, where the party became the second number, Congress could not even open an account here.

In the elections of Gujarat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar, and Bhavnagar Metropolitan Municipality.

The BJP has registered a resounding victory under the leadership of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and State President CR Patil. The Congress could not even stand around the BJP.

Congress defeated, no open account in Surat.

In Surat, Congress could not win any of the 120 seats. In Rajkot, Congress could win in just one ward. Out of 72 seats, BJP managed to win 68 seats.

There is chaos in the Congress with the defeat in the elections. Congress presidents of all six cities have submitted their resignations to the party’s high command.

This is the second major win for the pair of Rupani and Patil. Earlier, the BJP had managed to win all the seats in the by-elections in eight assembly seats.

Bahujan Samaj Party registered its presence in Jamnagar by winning three seats.

AIMIM won three seats in Ahmedabad.

At the same time, AIMIM opened an account in Ahmedabad with three seats. It was successful in Muslim majority Juhapura and Martapura.

Out of the 192 seats of Ahmedabad Manpa, the BJP reached 165, while the Congress was reduced to just 15 seats. In Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Congress could not touch the double-digit mark, while it won only 11 seats in Jamnagar.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Municipal Corporation election results show that Gujarat has re-established itself as a BJP stronghold. BJP is continuing the ‘Vikas Yatra’ started under the leadership of Modi Ji.

Today’s results are one of the best results in Gujarat. The BJP has won about 85 percent of the seats. Congress has suffered badly in this election.

The Congress won only 44 seats across Gujarat, while the BJP alone won 44 seats in the Bhavnagar Corporation.

Gujarat Chief Minister K Vijay Rupani said that the people of Gujarat have reposed faith in the BJP. The party will act more responsibly.

The credit for the party’s victory in Gujarat goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Gujarat BJP President CR Patil said that the BJP has won a tremendous victory.

This is a feat of party workers and Panna Samiti members. BJP will live up to the expectations of the people and will carry forward the chariot of development.
