Abbas Siddiqui took out a rally demonstrating the power, Before Owaisi’s visit to West Bengal.
Pirzada Abbas Siddiqui of Furfura Sharif performed power on Tuesday under the banner of his new party Indian Secular Front (ISF).
A rally was organized from Sealdah to Dharmatalla, attended by thousands of people. Siddiqui’s power show came two days before the visit of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi to Kolkata.
Owaisi is coming to Bengal on Thursday and will also undertake a padayatra with the gathering in the Muslim-dominated Matiburj area.
ISF chief Pirzada Abbas Siddiqui addressed a public meeting in Dharmatalla and lashed out at the Modi government from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Siddiqui said be it the Trinamool Congress government or the BJP government at the Center. Both did nothing for the general public of the country.
He said that Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has only used people belonging to minority communities for votes. For the development of minorities, this government has not done any work till now.
The policies of the Center are also not for the general public. The policies of the Center are for the good of the capitalists. He called for the overthrow of the Mamata government.
It is notable that Furfura Sharif was considered close to the Mamata government. However, Owaisi tried Abbas in his last Bengal tour and said that his party would do what Pirzada would say.
But later Abbas Siddiqui formed his new party Indian Secular Front. Abbas is preparing to contest elections with the Congress and the Left Front and several rounds of meetings have been held for seat sharing.
BJP leader Rakesh Singh arrested in a cocaine case, Pamela Goswami charged.
Kolkata Police has arrested BJP leader Rakesh Singh from Galassi in the East Burdwan district on Tuesday. Earlier in the afternoon, there was a high-voltage drama at his house for three hours.
His two sons were taken into custody by the police for obstructing government work. Rakesh Singh was arrested after that.
BJP youth unit activist Pamela Goswami has named Rakesh Singh, the leader of his own party in the narcotics case.
It is believed that on Tuesday, the CBI team is believed to have come to the house of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s MP nephew Abhishek Banerjee for questioning and to retaliate.
