Encounters in UP: So far, 135 criminals have been killed in an encounter between police and miscreants in the Yogi government in four years. This year, in two and a half months, six criminals were killed in an encounter.
In the state, 28 criminals were killed in the police encounter in the year 2017, 41 in the year 2018, 34 in the year 2019, and 26 in the year 2020.
There are 111 such criminals on whom the reward was declared and their search was going on. The police also killed Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the Bikeru case, in the encounter.
He topped the list of prize crooks and was declared a reward of five lakh rupees. Apart from this, the police piled up three crooks worth two and a half lakh.
Rewards of two lakhs, two crooks, one and a half lakhs of three crooks, 18 lakh crores of one lakh, one crook of 75 thousand, 46 crooks of fifty thousand, 20 crooks of 25 thousand, 11 crooks of 15 thousand.
A prize of four thousand crooks and a crook of five thousand were also killed by the bullet of the police. Meerut has so far recorded the highest number of 18 rogue encounters.
There were more than 7791 encounters between the police and the miscreants, in which the police have arrested more than 16 thousand miscreants. During this time, more than three thousand crooks have been injured by the police bullet.
ED confiscates assets worth Rs 32 crore of TV channels in the TRP case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized assets worth Rs 32 crore from some TV channels in Maharashtra in the alleged TRP scam. This action has been taken in a case related to money laundering.
The ED has said that the assets of channels like ‘Fakt Marathi’, ‘Box Cinema’ and ‘Maha Movie’ have been confiscated under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
TRP indicates the popularity of a TV channel or program. Along with this, it enables advertisers to understand the pattern of the audience.
The investigating agency has said that apart from some bank deposits, properties in Mumbai, Indore, Delhi, and Gurugram have been seized.
The ED had registered a case of money laundering against the channels after the Mumbai police filed an FIR for allegedly incorrectly increasing the TRP.
