What is the Buhari case?
On the morning of July 1, 2018, there was sensational news of the death of 11 people of the Chandawat family in the Sant Nagar area of Burari. 80-year-old mother Narayani Devi.
Both sons Bhuvnesh (50) and Lalit (45), both daughters-in-law Savita (48) and Tina (42), daughter Pratibha Bhatia (57), Pratibha’s daughter Priyanka (33), Bhuvnesh’s daughters were Neetu (25), Monu (23), son Dhruv (15) and Lalit’s son Shivam (15).
When the police reached inside the house, the bodies of all 10 people were found hanging from the grill.
The body of an elderly woman was found lying upside down in the empty space near the bed in the bedroom. A string was found tied to the handle of the cupboard behind him.
The rest were hanging from members’ dupattas and saris.
Everyone’s hands were tied behind. The mouth and eyes were bandaged and cotton was stuffed in the ears.
According to the documentary, after inspecting the incident, the police initially considered it to be a case of mass suicide, as there were no signs of any coercive activity inside the house.
But after pressure from family, relatives, and some organizations, a murder report was registered and the investigation was handed over to the crime branch.
The apprehension of murder was proved unfounded after seeing the footage of the CCTV camera installed outside the house as no evidence was found of any outsider entering the house.

The mysterious twist, in this case, came when a register was found in the temple of the house, which contained instructional entries from 2007 to 2018 on what the members of the household had to do and what not to do.
It was revealed from this register that the younger son Lalit started running the house as the head of the household after the death of his father Bhopal Singh.
Everyone obeyed him. According to the register, the spirit of father Bhopal Singh used to contact the family through Lalit, and then his voice would change.
