Defense Minister Rajnath Singh meets CM Biren Singh on the Manipur tour.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is on a two-day visit to Manipur. There has been a meeting between Rajnath Singh and Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
This meeting took place at the residence of Biren Singh in Luwangsangbam. Biren Singh has tweeted pictures of the meeting from his official Twitter handle.
Biren Singh tweeted, “Glad to be hosting Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.” The Defense Minister was accorded a warm welcome on his way to the Chief Minister’s residence.

Apart from Manoj Pandey, many state ministers and BJP leaders including the party’s state president A Sharda Devi also attended the meeting.
The Defense Minister then went to the office of the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South) at Mantri Pukhri where he interacted with the personnel of the Assam Rifles and the 57th Mountain Division of the Indian Army.
Earlier, Rajnath Singh inaugurated the 131st Durand Cup Championship at Khuman Lampak Stadium on Thursday.
MP Politics: BJP begins siege of Kamal Nath in Chhindwara, Giriraj Singh reaches Chhindwara
The BJP has started the siege of former Chief Minister and State Congress President Kamal Nath in Chhindwara. The party has sent Central Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Giriraj Singh for this.
He reached Saunsar in the district on Thursday, the first day of his three-day stay, and said that again a government of absolute majority would be formed in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It will also include the Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat. Kamal Nath’s son Nakul Nath is the MP from here.
Under the action plan to pay special attention to the Lok Sabha seats lost in the last elections, the BJP has given the responsibility of different states to the Union Ministers.
Chhindwara is the area of influence of Kamal Nath.
He has been an MP from here nine times. This is the only one with Congress out of 29 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
In the assembly elections too, the Congress had won all the seven seats in the district. The mayor and the district panchayat president also belong to Congress.
In Chhindwara, which has become a stronghold of Congress, the party has entrusted the task of strengthening the BJP and encouraging the workers to Giriraj Singh.
Earlier, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was made in charge of Chhindwara.
