Cyclonic storm hits Kerala’s Chalakudy again, damage to houses; top officials held a high-level meeting.

Several houses were damaged due to the cyclonic storm that hit Chalakudy in the Thrissur district of Kerala. Trees were also uprooted due to the storm.

This cyclonic storm occurred on both the banks of the Chalakudy river. Due to this, houses got damaged in Muringur town.

Apart from trees, electric poles were also uprooted, which damaged power lines in many places.

Thrissur District Collector Harita V. Kumar and other officials reached Chalakudy after the cyclonic storm. All these top officials are holding a high-level meeting to assess the damage caused by the storm.

This is the sixth time in the last two months that the Thrissur district has been hit by a storm.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Kerala will receive heavy rains on Monday.

According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in all the districts across the state in the next three hours.

The IMD issued a yellow alert for Idukki, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod on Monday in view of the possibility of heavy rains.

These districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall in the range of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm.

Political rhetoric intensifies over waterlogging in Bengaluru.

Due to heavy rains in Bengaluru in the past, water-logging conditions have arisen in many places in the city. Political rhetoric has also intensified regarding waterlogging in Bengaluru.

The Aam Aadmi Party president of the city’s Mahadevapura constituency slammed BJP MLA Arvind Limbawali over the issue.

The Aam Aadmi Party leader said that the BJP should answer for the submergence of areas, including irregularities in the development of Rajkaluwe.
