Corona outbreak increased in Kerala, schools up to class 9 closed till January 21.

The cases of Covid-19 are increasing continuously in Kerala. The havoc of Coronavirus is not taking its name in the state.

At the same time, the new variant of Corona, Omicron, is spreading rapidly.

Amid a surge in new cases of COVID-19, the state government on Friday took a major decision in which the physical classes of school students up to class 9 have been postponed till January 21.

Let us tell you that this big decision was taken at a high-level meeting of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

He said that a review meeting will be held on February 2 to decide on the continuation of the Covid 19 restrictions.

At present, physical classes of classes 10, 11, and 12 will continue as before due to the ongoing vaccination campaign for the youth of 15 to 18 years in the state.

Children’s vaccination campaign is being carried out at a rapid pace across the country. It is the priority of all state governments that all school-going students should be vaccinated at the earliest.

The Kerala Chief Minister has directed the Health and Education Departments to coordinate and make arrangements for the vaccination of students in classes 10, 11, and 12 in schools at the earliest.

Along with this, the Chief Minister has also directed the concerned officials to give a message to the devotees who have booked for Darshan from January 16 to postpone the Sabarimala pilgrimage.

Corona outbreak increased in Kerala: The state health department-

On Friday, the state health department said that Kerala has recorded 16,338 new COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours.

While Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam districts have the highest prevalence of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 3,848 people have been cured of the infection during the last 24 hours.

At the same time, 20 people have lost their lives due to deadly coronavirus during the last 24 hours. There are currently 76,819 active cases of Covid-19 in the state.
