Chelsea beat Newcastle 2–0 in an English Football League (EPL) match. With this, Chelsea became the seventh club in the EPL this season to top the points table.

Chelsea had a good start to the match when Newcastle’s Federica Fernandes sat in the 10th minute with a suicidal goal and Chelsea was ahead 1-0 in the match.

Both teams were unable to score any goals until the first half. In the second half, Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham scored in the 65th minute to extend the team’s lead to 2–0.

After this Chelsea failed to score a goal and the team won the match by the same margin.

Northeast United’s winning debut in ISL 7, beat Mumbai City

Northeast United FC made their winning debut in the seventh season of the Indian Super League (ISL) thanks to a penalty scored by Ghana forward Kwesi Apia.

Northeast United FC defeated Mumbai City FC 1–0 in the second match of the season played at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco de Gama here on Saturday.

In the first half, Ahmed Zhao of Mumbai City was shown the red card.

A total of seven players debuted from this match. Five of these players were in North United’s team.

In the eighth minute of the match, the Mumbai team’s Boumus and three minutes later Luis Miguel Vieira of Northeast United lost the opportunity to send the ball to the goal post.

A similar view was seen throughout the match, but the result of the match came through a penalty shootout, in which the Mumbai team had to face defeat.

The Mumbai team had an opportunity to score an equalizer in the 66th minute in the second half, but this time defender Sarthak Golui’s shot from the header went off a few inches.

In the 81st minute, Mumbai City got a corner, which was routed by Boumas. Three minutes later, a yellow card was given to Ashutosh Mehta of the Northeast.

In the final minutes, Mumbai tried to match, but every attempt was unsuccessful.
