Budget Session 2021: Opposition slogans during President’s address, Ravi Shankar said – Unfortunate. The budget session began on Friday with President Ram Nath Kovind’s address.
During this time, the opposition was expressed by the opposition and there was a lot of slogans in support of the farmers along with the demand to repeal the agricultural laws.
The Lok Sabha was adjourned till Monday, 1 February. MPs from the left parties took out a protest march towards Parliament to repeal the agricultural laws.
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “Today’s budget session started with the President’s address but it is unfortunate that the entire opposition boycotted it.”

During the President’s address, National Democratic Party MP Hanuman Beniwal waved the poster and raised slogans. They were demanding cancellation of all three agricultural laws.
Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh said, ‘Agricultural laws should be repealed. We opposed the President’s address and raised slogans in support of the farmers.
We were not allowed to enter the Central Hall. We protested because the farmers were called traitors. ‘ He further said, ‘Farmers had to face water splashes and tear gas shells in this cold.
These three laws should be back. For this, today we opposed the President’s address and raised slogans there. We were not allowed to enter Central Hall.
The Rajya Sabha will resume at 3 pm today. The Economic Survey 2020-21 will be tabled in Parliament today.
Budget Session 2021: President gave details of government’s plans and achievements.
In his address, the President gave details of the schemes and achievements initiated by the government in the past.
Describing the violent clash with China on the border, the President appreciated the fighting of the brave soldiers of the country. He also mentioned martyred soldiers in Galvan Valley last year.
The President also mentioned the remarkable progress of the country from temporary membership in the United Nations, from becoming president in BRICS to construction of Ram temple.
He said, ‘There are many decisions that have been taken in different areas. My government has shown that if intentions are clear, intentions are high, then change can be brought.
The number of lives my government has touched in these years is unprecedented. He also termed the violence during the tractor rally of farmers on Republic Day as unfortunate.
He mentioned the notable activities of the government in the North-Eastern states. At the end of his address, the President emphasized self-reliance.
He said, ‘Let us all move forward together, all the citizens should move forward together. Perform your duty and contribute to nation building, let us make India self-reliant. ‘
