Three children died on the spot, while another was seriously injured.
Police said the incident took place in the Killi Badzai area of Quetta when children aged between eight and 14 years playing near a graveyard found a grenade and mistook it as a toy and picked it up.
The police officer said, “When the children started playing with the hand grenade, it exploded. As a result, three children died and three others were injured. He was taken to the hospital.”
