BJP Will Enter The Fray With Captain And Dhindsa In Punjab
BJP will enter the fray with Captain and Dhindsa in Punjab elections, know-how seats will be distributed among the three parties.
The BJP has formally announced an alliance for the Punjab Assembly elections.
In the Punjab elections to be held next year, the BJP will contest with the party of former Congress leaders Captain Amarinder Singh and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
On Monday, a meeting was held at the residence of Home Minister Amit Shah, in which Punjab BJP in-charge Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced this.
In the meeting, the Home Minister discussed seat-sharing with Punjab Lok Congress chief Captain Amarinder Singh and Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
During this, National President of Bharatiya Janata Party JP Nadda was also present.
In the meeting, a team of two representatives each from all the three parties has been formed for seat-sharing.
This team will decide the seats and with this, it was decided in the meeting that a joint manifesto of the three parties would be formed.
Talking to reporters, Shekhawat said, today party chiefs of all three parties BJP, Punjab Lok Congress, and SAD (United) met under the leadership of Dhindsa.
BJP will enter the fray with Captain and Dhindsa: We will fight the elections in the alliance. A six-member committee will discuss issues like seat-sharing.
Two representatives from each party have been included in this. There will be a joint manifesto of all three parties.
It is noteworthy that in November, former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh had resigned from the Congress and formed a new party ‘Punjab Lok Congress’ before the Punjab Assembly elections.
Assembly elections are due in the state early next year. In this, BJP is all set to contest elections in alliance with Punjab Lok Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal (United).
