Bill For Rehabilitation Of Kashmiri Pandits Introduced In RS

Bill for rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits introduced in Rajya Sabha, senior Congress leader Vivek Tankha introduced a private bill.

A private bill related to the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits was introduced in the Rajya Sabha on Friday.

In which a demand has been made from the government that the central government should constitute an advisory committee to resettle the displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the valley.

Of which at least half are women. Also, they should be given one-time financial assistance for rehabilitation.

At least five thousand rupees should be given to every person every month and a maximum of twenty thousand rupees to the family.

This amount should also be reviewed every three years. This bill related to the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits was introduced by senior Congress leader Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha.

Along with this, he also demanded an immediate discussion on this with the government. The bill also talks about simplifying the rules for the domicile of Kashmiri Pandits.

So that those who have been rounded up or those who have done marriages etc. of the people there, they should be considered as natives.

Tankha has said in the bill that to resettle Kashmiri Pandits, they should be given full security and necessary facilities. Along with this, they should also be given minority status.

Anyway, the way they have been tortured in the Kashmir Valley is not hidden from anyone. In this case, considering them as victims, they should be given this special status.

Senior advocate Vivek Tankha by profession has also put the issue of security of Kashmiri Pandits prominently in the bill.

During this, demand was also made to form a task force for security and to give a gun license to each family.

There has also been a demand for immediate government jobs for about ten thousand Kashmiri Pandits for their rehabilitation.

It is worth noting that Vivek Tankha has announced to introduce of a private bill for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits during the discussion in Rajya Sabha recently.
