Big action in J&K SI recruitment scam case, CBI raids 33 locations including Delhi.

The CBI has taken big action in the case related to the alleged irregularities in the recruitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Sub Inspector.

In the SI recruitment scam, the CBI team is conducting raids at 33 places in the country including Delhi.

The search operation of the CBI is going on today i.e. on Tuesday at 33 places including the premises of former Jammu and Kashmir SSB chairman Khalid Jehangir.

The official said that the premises of the examination controller of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) Ashok Kumar are also being searched.

According to the news agency, this CBI raid is taking place at 33 places across the country including the capital Delhi.

Raids are being conducted in Gandhinagar in  Jammu, Srinagar, Karnal, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gujarat, Delhi, Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, and Bangalore in Karnataka.

If the official is to be believed, this is the second round of raids conducted by the CBI in connection with the investigation of alleged irregularities in SI recruitment. Earlier, the police had raided on 5 August.

In fact, the agency had said that the CBI has booked 33 accused on charges of irregularities in the written examination conducted by the JKSSB on 27.03.2022 for the posts of sub-inspectors in the JKP.

A case has been registered at the request of the administration.

The J&K administration had last month canceled the recruitment of sub-inspectors (SIs) in the JKP following complaints of irregularities and handed over a probe into the selection process to the CBI.

According to the official, the raids were conducted at 28 places in Jammu and one each in Srinagar and Bengaluru on August 5.

An FIR was registered against 32 people, including JKSSB member Narayan Dutt, middlemen, and candidates in the SI recruitment scam case.

The CBI has also named Karnail Singh, a medical officer posted in Jammu, and Avinash Gupta, owner of a ‘coaching center’ at Akhnoor and a Bengaluru-based company in the FIR, he said.
