Big 7 Southern Movies: Don’t let the Bollywood weather spoil the storm from the south! A new revenue record could be set in 2023.

Amid the turmoil in the Hindi film industry in 2022, South’s films achieved record profits in the Hindi Belt. In particular, Hindi dubbed versions of Kannada films have achieved unimaginable success.

The Hindi version of Yasha’s KGF Chapter 2 grossed an astonishing $432 million. No Hindi film can leave this character behind.

Besides KGF 2, Southern films that changed the box office arithmetic of the Hindi belt include the Telugu films RRR and Karthikeya 2 and the Kannada film Kantara.

Big 7 Southern Movies: Now, in 2023, there will be many such South Indian films to be released in India as well. These films may set new records at the box office.

Michael.

‘Michael’ is a pan-Indian film to be released on February 3 and will also be released in Hindi. The first teaser of the movie became additionally launched in Hindi.

Vijay Sethupathy can be seen starring alongside Michael’s Sandeep Keeshan. The film is directed by Ranjit Jayakodi. This is a movie with amazing stunts.

Shakuntalam.

Samantha Prabhu and Dev Mohan’s Shakuntalam will be released worldwide on February 17th. It is based on Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play Abhigyan Shakuntalam.

PS-2.

The second part of Ponniin Selvan Mani Ratna comes out on the 28th of April.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karti, Chiyaan Vikram, and Jayaram Ravi will star in this film. It is also included in our list of most anticipated movies of 2023.

Salar.

Fans are also looking forward to Prabhs’s Salar, mainly because of director Prashant Neil, director of last year’s highest-grossing film, KGF 2.

Now, there are many expectations from Salar. Adipurush Prabhasa is also expected. Directed by Om Raut, this pan-Indian film stars Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Sunny Kaushal.

However, the film was heavily trolled for its teasers. The movie ‘Up’ will be released on June 16th.

Kabzaa.

The Kannada film Underworld Ka Akshar by Kichchi Sudeep and Upendra is a period drama set in the ’60s from the era of British rule to the ’80s.

The film reveals the foundations of the country’s underworld. Shriya Saran also appears in the film.

Pushpa – Rules.

The second installment of the hugely successful 2021 hit Telugu film Pushpa – The Rise, Pushpa The Rule is set to be released this year there is lots of buzz surrounding this movie.

Starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, this film breaks the Hindi belt-grossing record.

Tangalan.

Vikram’s pan-Indian film Tangalan is also likely to be released this year. Tangalan is a big-budget action film directed by Pa Ranjit.

The story is set in pre-independence India. Malavika Mohanan and Parvati played the female leads.
