Bhiwani badminton players Rohit Bhaker and Mahesh Kumar filled India’s bag with gold in the team event at the ongoing Deaf Olympics 2021 in Brazil.

Deaf and dumb, both these young players have brought laurels to the country by winning gold. The Deaf Olympics running in Brazil started from 1 May and run till 15 May.

The Bhiwani pair created history by winning gold in badminton by defeating France 4-1 in a straight match. Earlier in the semi-finals, these players of India defeated Taikei 3-1 to make it to the final.

As soon as the news of their victory was received, there was a wave of happiness among the sports lovers and the round of congratulations started.

Rohit Bhaker has also won gold in Asiad and World Championships.

Rohit’s mother Principal Santosh Bhakar told that after winning the gold, the son’s video call came and expressed happiness. He had assured before leaving for Brazil that he would definitely win gold.

The son has brought glory to the country by winning a grand victory.

International badminton player Siddharth Jakhar and District Dadri Badminton Association GS Lokesh Gupta have congratulated the gold medalist players of the Brazil Deaf Olympics on this victory.

They said that Haryana state is the land of sports.

Here even the normal deaf player is not behind. Haryana is increasing the pride of India on foreign soil, we are proud of such players.

Ravi, Bajrang, and Deepak will have to appear in the selection trials, there will be no direct entry in the finals for Commonwealth and Asian Games trials.

Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Ravi Dahiya, bronze medalist Bajrang Punia, and Asian Championship silver medalist Deepak Poonia will not be given direct entry to the finals in the selection trials this time.

In the selection trials for the Commonwealth and Asian Games to be held this time, the three wrestlers will have to win all the matches to reach the finals.
