A Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) spokesperson said on Monday that eight buses have been damaged in protests related to the MVA bandh since Sunday night.

Bandh is being observed peacefully across Maharashtra with wide public support.

Condemning the incidents of vandalism, Nawab Malik said that there are reports of stone pelting at some places, which is not correct.

It is worth noting that in the past, a convoy of cars trampled eight people, including four farmers, in Lakhimpur Kheri.
