Atal Bihari Vajpayee Death Anniversary: ​​Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with his Cabinet colleagues pay tributes. A 25-feet-tall bronze statue was erected at Lok Bhavan eight months ago on the 95th birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Lok Bhavan in Lucknow. Today, August 16 is the second death anniversary of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the most popular Prime Minister of the country.

On this occasion, CM Yogi Adityanath garlanded the statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the Lok Bhavan. CM bowed to him.A 25-feet-tall bronze statue was installed at Lok Bhavan eight months ago on the 95th birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow. It was released by PM Narendra Modi. Today, CM Yogi Adityanath bowed to the same statue and saluted him.

Along with CM Yogi Adityanath, his cabinet colleagues also paid homage to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, one of the country’s most popular MPs, on his second death anniversary. Atal Bihari Vajpayee represented Lucknow for more than a decade as an MP. He died on 16 August 2018 in New Delhi. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor in 2015. After his death, Atal Samadhi was built in his name in Delhi.

Vajpayee was Prime Minister thrice

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on 25 December 1924 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the only leader to hold the post of Prime Minister thrice after Jawaharlal Nehru. Vajpayee first became the Prime Minister for 13 days in 1996 and then in 1998 he ran the government for 13 months at the Center.

He became the Prime Minister of the country for the third time in 1999 and remained in the post until the defeat of the NDA in 2004. During his tenure, India achieved this capability by conducting nuclear tests. Along with this, India had dusted off the neighboring country by stopping the Pakistani infiltration in Kargil.
