Union Home Minister Amit Shah can also start an election campaign in Uttar Pradesh soon. If sources are to be believed, then the Union Minister can enter the electoral fray from January 23.

During this, Shah will hold several election meetings at different places following the model code of conduct.

The Election Commission has imposed many restrictions in view of the increasing cases of corona in the country. The Election Commission on Saturday extended the ban on public rallies till January 22.

According to sources, if the Election Commission extends the restrictions further, Amit Shah is likely to visit constituencies depending on the different phases of the election.

BJP will perform better in assembly elections.

Sources said top party leaders are of the view that the party will do better in the assembly polls than in the 2017 polls.

It is very clear in the minds of the voters of Uttar Pradesh that they want better law and order situation in the state and they want to bring in the BJP government once again.

According to sources, the party is confident of its good performance in the first two phases of elections to be held on February 10 and 14.

Party believes that the impact of the first two phases of elections will be seen in the entire state.

Amit Shah can enter the electoral campaign fray: BJP will not give tickets to any sitting MP.

The BJP believes that the party is going to perform better than Braj and western UP, despite protests from farmers.

Sources also confirmed that the party will not give tickets to any sitting MP in the upcoming assembly elections.

BJP announces candidates for the first and second phases.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, the BJP released the list of candidates for 57 out of 58 seats in the first phase and 48 out of 55 seats in the second phase.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that Yogi Adityanath will contest from Gorakhpur (Urban) seat.

Let us inform you that in Uttar Pradesh, polling will be held in seven phases on 10, 14, 20, 23, 27, and March 3 and 7. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
