The Election Commission has imposed many restrictions in view of the increasing cases of corona in the country. The Election Commission on Saturday extended the ban on public rallies till January 22.
According to sources, if the Election Commission extends the restrictions further, Amit Shah is likely to visit constituencies depending on the different phases of the election.

Sources said top party leaders are of the view that the party will do better in the assembly polls than in the 2017 polls.

According to sources, the party is confident of its good performance in the first two phases of elections to be held on February 10 and 14.

BJP announces candidates for the first and second phases.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the BJP released the list of candidates for 57 out of 58 seats in the first phase and 48 out of 55 seats in the second phase.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that Yogi Adityanath will contest from Gorakhpur (Urban) seat.
