AIADMK’s Single Leadership controversy at its peak: District Secretaries Meeting and Court Case, all things happening in this matter.

With the AIADMK’s one-party controversy at its peak, the issue can be traced back to the meeting of district secretaries and the High Court case.

When the AIADMK district secretaries’ meeting was held at the party headquarters on June 14, the single leadership was discussed for the first time.

Following the uproar over the incident, former minister Jayakumar, who met reporters on the same day, began the controversy by claiming that the need for a single leadership was the unanimous voice of district secretaries.

AIADMK’s Single Leadership controversy: A consultative meeting was then held on June 16 on the resolutions to be passed in the General Assembly.

Speaking again after the meeting, Jayakumar said the decision on a single leadership would be taken on the basis of consensus.

Speaking on the same day, O. Panneerselvam said that the party was going well at present and did not know why this single leadership chaos came about suddenly.

Thereafter, on June 17, O. Panneerselvam held consultations with Vaithilingam and Maitreyan at his residence.

A new petition has been filed in the Chennai Licensing Court on behalf of C. Balakrishnan seeking an injunction against the public meeting.

On June 18, O. Panneerselvam held consultations with his supportive district secretaries in Chennai.

Meanwhile, a new petition has been filed in the High Court seeking an injunction restraining amendments to the party’s rules.

Supporters of Panneer Selvam besieged former minister Jayakumar, who was attending a decision-making committee meeting at the AIADMK office. There was a push in this. Many were injured.

On the same day, Edappadi Palanisamy also held consultations with party executives.

Following this, on June 19, the AIADMK youth expressed support for Edappadi Palanisamy to take over the leadership of the unit.

The first single-member resolution passed at the Thoothukudi North District Administrators’ Meeting in support of Edappadi Palanasamy

On the same day, the administrators of the Theni district, the OBS ‘own district, also came out in support of Edappadi Palanisamy.

Former ministers Senkottayan, Vijayabaskar, and Kadampur Raju inspected the Vanagaram Srivaru wedding hall where the public meeting will be held on June 20.

The hearing on the petitions seeking an injunction to amend the AIADMK rules on June 21 was adjourned till the next day.

In this context, 23 draft resolutions for the AIADMK General Committee were filed in the Chennai High Court yesterday.

The OPS said it had agreed and that he would participate in the general assembly.

The EPS said that the amendment to the AIADMK rules may or may not happen in the General Assembly.

Finally, in a case seeking an injunction against the General Assembly, the Chennai High Court refused to grant an injunction. Thus the AIADMK general meeting is taking place as planned.

Edappadi Palanisamy, who has been at loggerheads with the OPS for the last 5 years over the single leadership issue, has found the field this time and led directly to the single leadership.
