Afghan MP got emotional after reaching India from Kabul, said – Everything that was built in 20 years is over.

In the midst of the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan, the process of evacuating Indian citizens trapped there is going on.

On Sunday, 168 people were brought back from there, including Afghan Sikh MP Narendra Singh Khalsa.

He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India, and the Indian Air Force for rescuing him and others from Afghanistan.

Today an Air Force plane carrying 168 people reached the Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad. Afghan MPs got emotional and tears welled up while talking about the situation there.

When asked how did you feel after leaving his country as an MP, he said that everything is over now. He said, ‘I feel like crying, whatever was built in the last 20 years is now finished, now it is zero.’

Narendra Singh Khalsa was among 168 people, including 23 Afghan Sikhs and Hindus, who were on board the IAF’s C-17 Globemaster aircraft and took off from Kabul airport today.

Since the Taliban occupation in Afghanistan, Indians living there are being brought back in large numbers. Late Saturday night, an Air India plane brought 87 people from Tajikistan to the capital Delhi.

It also includes two Nepalese citizens. Indians raised slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ as they boarded the plane. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi gave this information by tweeting.

He said that our embassy in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, is engaged in helping the people trapped in Afghanistan.

These passengers who came to India were first evacuated from Kabul by Indian Air Force aircraft. After this, he was taken to Tajikistan, from where the Air India plane brought him to New Delhi.

Let us inform you that the officials of the Government of India are doing all possible help to evacuate the Indians trapped in Kabul.

All efforts are being made by the government to bring back the citizens safe.

During this evacuation operation, India has already evacuated its consulate employees from many provinces of Afghan including Kandahar.
