An army jawan was injured on Wednesday in a firing incident on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said that the jawan was posted at a forward post in the Kalsian area of Naushera sector. The injured jawan was given first aid and then taken to the military hospital in Udhampur for specialized treatment. A gunshot fired from the other side of the border struck the jawan.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the Line of Control shooting. He said that an explosion was also reported on the zero line in the area at around six in the morning, after which three rounds of firing took place. However, officials said that there is no immediate news of any casualties in the explosion, although the cause of the explosion is not yet known.
