11 Terrorists Killed During A Pakistan Security Operation, Ammunition And Weapons Recovered

11 terrorists killed during a Pakistan security operation, and ammunition and weapons were recovered.

At least 11 terrorists, including two suicide bombers, were killed during an operation by the Pakistani Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in South Waziristan.

This information has been given by Pakistan’s military media wing.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday, Pakistani security forces killed Hafizullah Toure alias Toure Hafiz, who was dubbed by the authorities as a “terrorist commander”.

Eleven terrorists, including terrorist commander Hafizullah alias Tor Hafiz and two suicide bombers, have been killed during the gunfight, ISPR said.

A huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the slain terrorists, the statement said.

The statement further said that the slain terrorists were actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and targeted killing of police in the South Waziristan district.

The law and order situation in Pakistan has deteriorated over the past few months, with terrorist groups such as the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, the Islamic State group, and the Gul Bahadur group carrying out attacks across the country.

Earlier, TTP had attacked the house of Mohammad Nisar, a contractor with the Government of Pakistan, who was asked to pay a ransom of Rs 15 million, which he refused.

He alleged that TTP members hurled firecrackers at his house in Rawalpindi’s Dhamiyal area after he refused to pay the ransom.

Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) is also involved in the investigation after the police registered an FIR on Tuesday.

In the FIR, Nisar said that on October 7, 2022, a voice message came on his phone. The caller, posing as a representative of TTP, demanded a ransom of Rs 1.5 crore.

Nisar said that after ignoring the man’s messages, he turned to his brother Mushtaq Ali. He sent an audio message to Ali and asked him to narrate it to his brother.

According to the news agency, Nisar has been working as a government contractor in Pakistan for the last 20 years.

According to the local news agency report, Nisar has said in his FIR that he was sleeping in his house while his wife and children had gone to their village when he woke up at 4 pm on December 28 to the sound of explosions outside his house.

TTP said in a video that most of their attacks took place in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The Khama press reported that they also carried out attacks outside the province.

The spurt in attacks came after the TTP ended its ceasefire with the government in November last year, which ordered its militants to carry out attacks across the country.

According to the news agency report, insurgents in Balochistan have also stepped up their violent activities and formalized a nexus with TTP.
