Zigbang Acquires Samsung SDS’s Home IoT Business

Zigbang acquires Samsung SDS’s home IoT business. South Korean prop-tech startup Zigbang is acquiring Samsung SDS’s home Internet of Things (IoT) unit.

According to TechCrunch, the startup aims to increase its market share by acquiring Samsung SDS’s smart home IoT business.

“By combining Zigbang’s residential content with Samsung’s (SDS) home IoT hardware, we will revolutionize the smart home market,” Zigbang CEO Sung-woo Ah said in a statement.

The agreement could not be reached in 2016.

In 2016 Samsung SDS tried to sell the smart home IoT unit to Ireland-based company Allegiant.

But they reportedly could not reach an agreement, Samsung SDS’s IoT unit is currently generating decent revenue in excess of that.

Samsung SDS CEO said-

According to Hwang Seong-woo, CEO of Samsung SDS, 16 Countries Digital Transformation is about using digital technologies to add meaningful value to all elements of the company.

With over 20 years of security service experience, Samsung provides SDS end-to-end.

Its global threat intelligence, security orchestration automation and response (SOAR), and cyber security solutions are powered by AI/ML-enabled IS.

Revolution will come in the smart home market.

Zigbang CEO Sung-woo Ah said in a statement that Zigbang has 33.5 million users and 8.1 million monthly active users.

By combining Zigbang’s residential content with Samsung’s [SDS] home IoT hardware, we will revolutionize the smart home market, he added.

The Samsung SDS company on Thursday reported its 2021 profit of 633.4 billion won (US$527.4 million), up 39.8 percent from a year ago.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series charging and other specifications leaked, to be launched on February 9.

Samsung has announced the launch of its next-generation flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S22. The company has scheduled its Galaxy Unpacked event for February 9.

Samsung is about to launch Samsung Galaxy S22 series including Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra at this event.

Galaxy S22 will be the most premium device out of this event. At the same time, a few days before its launch, the charging and other specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series have been leaked.
