The participation of women in every field is increasing day by day. In such a situation, an initiative has been taken by the Government of Karnataka.

The Karnataka Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department took a big decision on Thursday.

Women will now be appointed on the post of drivers of garbage collection vehicles at the gram panchayat level.

Talking to the news agency, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister KS Eshwarappa said, ‘Special initiative has been taken by the RDPR department under the Swachh Narmada program.

In this special initiative, women have been entrusted with the task of driving the garbage collection vehicles. These women drivers will be appointed by the CEO of the District Panchayat.

Where and how many vehicles.

KS Eshwarappa said that there are about 6 thousand gram panchayats in Karnataka, out of which about 30 vehicles will be run in the initial phase in Shivamogga, Chitradurga, Haveri, and Raichur districts.

Recruitment of women drivers.

Deployment of women at the village level for garbage collection vehicles in Karnataka is a good and big initiative, which will surely boost confidence among women.

This step will prove to be even more positive in the times to come when more avenues will open for women in other fields. The recruitment of women as drivers is nothing less than a new beginning.

PM wants a scholarship scheme to be implemented in Karnataka.

While the Government of Karnataka is launching such a new initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants the Karnataka Scholarship Scheme to be implemented successfully.

Karnataka CM Basavaraj S Bommai said on Thursday that PM Modi has asked the state government to implement the scholarship scheme for the children of farmers.

Scholarship schemes can be brought not only to Karnataka but to the whole country.

Earlier, along with the housing scheme for the homeless people, the implementation of the new education policy has also been done by the state government.
