Today the first phase of assembly elections in West Bengal is underway. Voting in 30 seats in the first phase in Bengal continues from 7 am on Saturday.

Meanwhile, many leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President JP Nadda have tweeted and appealed to the people to vote in large numbers.

There are a total of 294 seats in the state and the political fate of a total of 191 candidates is to be decided in the first phase. Enthusiasts are very fast about elections in Bengal.

In view of the Covid protocol, the Election Commission has increased the time of counting of votes. Voting has started on these seats from 7 am and voters will be able to exercise their franchise by 6.30 pm.

Regarding voting, PM Modi said that the first phase of West Bengal assembly elections is starting from today. I would request all people to exercise their franchise in record numbers today.

Nadda appealed to people to vote.

BJP national president JP Nadda has appealed to vote in the Bengal elections. Nadda wrote – Today is the first round of voting in Bengal assembly elections.
